Tim Busch - Testimony and Bio
I rejected God as a teen and spent the majority of my life in opposition to Him. While in the Marine Corps, I was proud of my life and thought that I was a “Good” person, until 3 March 1989, when I was sentenced to “15-yrs-to-Life” in California.
Through the examples of many Christian men around me in prison, I accepted Jesus as Lord & Savior. That radically changed my life, but I needed guidance. Becoming a Metanoia student taught me how to grow in my walk and introduced me to Sierra View Presbyterian Church in Fresno, CA. I joined SVPCA after being paroled on 12 Oct. 2017. In Fresno, I occasionally served Metanoia alongside Pastor Tim McCracken, Metanoia Regional Director, San Juaquin Valley.
On 30 Dec. 2020, I was discharged from parole. The next day, I was offered my current job as Metanoia’s Mentor Ministry Facilitator. I have lived in Chattanooga since May 2021, and I get to work alongside my longtime brother, Mark Casson, our former Executive Director.
The Lord has brought me “Full Circle.” I now serve the ministry that served me, while also mentoring prisoners in Tennessee and Georgia. Life is good, and God is great!
