Tim Busch - Testimony and Bio

Tim rejected God as a teen and spent much of his life in opposition to Him. While serving in the Marine Corps, he was proud of his life and thought of himself as a “good” person, until March 3, 1989, when he was sentenced to “15-yrs-to-Life” in California.  Tim accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior while in prison and deeply desired to know Him more. He became a student with Metanoia and became connected with Sierra View Presbyterian Church in Fresno, CA. While on parole, he began to occasionally serve Metanoia alongside Pastor Tim McCracken. When he was discharged from parole in 2020, he began his current role as Metanoia’s Mentor Ministry Facilitator and has lived in Chattanooga since 2021.

He feels very blessed to be able to serve the ministry that served him, while also participating in mentoring prisoners in Tennessee and Georgia. In 2024 the Lord brought more volunteers than ever, and the mentorship waitlist is the lowest it has been in years. This next year he hopes to continue growing the volunteer base to reach more inmates. When he is not working, he enjoys being outside either riding his bike or hiking around Chattanooga. He feels blessed to live in the same city as his close friends, the Casson's, and loves spending time with them. Life is good and God is great!
