Jeremy Prather - Testimony and Bio

Jeremy Prather grew up as the youngest of four children in a single parent household. His mother was loving and kind, but they were living in the projects and, without a father figure in his life, he began to participate in the criminal activity around him. He was then incarcerated in 2010 for armed robbery. Two years into his incarceration, the Lord opened Jeremy’s heart, and he gave his life to Jesus. He became a peer mentor with the Walker State Prisons Faith-and-Character-Based program and joined the mentorship program with Metanoia. His mentor was with him for 5 years and made a significant impact on his walk with the Lord which inspired his desire to recruit mentorship partners for Metanoia. Jeremy earned a Doctor of Ministry from Miami International Seminary and when he was released from prison on December 7, 2021. Metanoia issued a call through Mission to North America to serve as the Regional Director for Central Georgia. He was ordained May 19, 2024, as a Teaching Elder with Metro Atlanta Presbytery. The Lord has continued to bless his ministry by bringing 120 volunteers this year and Jeremy hopes to increase that number this coming year.

Jeremy is married to Rebekah Ann Prather and the Lord has blessed them with four wonderful children; Lindsey Sutton (26), Kaitlyn Beaver (22), Georgia Beaver (10), and EJ Beaver (7). When Jeremy is not working, the family enjoys having movie nights, fishing, or watching college football.
